Exclusive British Virgin Island Getaway

This group of islands has one of the most progressive and stable economies in the Caribbean region. What contributes a lot to its vibrant economy are its tourism industry and banking industry. In particular, its banking industry is host to a lot of hedge funds which locate their due to its favorable tax regime. Its regulations also with regards to banking are not so strict compared with other nearby countries in the region.
It was settled by Arawak Indians from South American sometime in 100 B.C. It was re-discovered by Christopher Columbus and was not integrated to the empire because he was still looking for the fabled spice islands. The Spaniards earlier did not take much interest in the islands either.
It is characterized by sugar plantations which were developed with the use of slave labor. It has lately attracted the wrong attention from smugglers, specifically drug traffickers because of lax coastline security. Most drugs entering the U.S. mainland passed through these islands recently.
